Taxes / Home as a Business?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can advise me if it wouldbe worth my time, and how it would be difficult to take a tax deduction for using my house for commercial use. I am a freelance writer, in his comments throughout year, about 15 per year. Would it be permissible for any type of deduction for the use of the home business and if so, how difficult is it to claim on taxes? Thank you!
Not worth it. This raises flags with the IRS, and gives you more likely to be audited. You have to devote part of your home only for work, and must be able to describe and delineate clearly. Tax relief is minimal.
