Legitimate work at home job opportunities?
I would love to work, but I have never had a job to speak of and have young children so my possibilities are slim. Are there any real work at home poeitions out there, ones that do not involve being my own boss or starting my own business??? I am great with the computer, very fast learner, and know there has to be something out there. Any ideas?

The hardest part about finding a real work at home job (once you get past all the scams and “no, you should start a business” comments) is all the competition for the actual jobs. They are not easy to land. A tremendous number of people want to work at home, so when a company known to hire people to work at home starts hiring, they get flooded with resumes.
You have to make sure you stand out. Make sure your resume is as good as you can make it. This is challenging in your case since you say you have never had a job to speak of.
Data entry and customer service are the more popular types of work at home jobs, since they aren’t too hard to learn. If you’ve done anything that can be seen as such on a resume it will help. Keep it honest, of course. These companies get tired very quickly of applications from the hordes of people who don’t realize that you do need skills to work these jobs. It’s your job at this point to find a way to express those skills you do have in a way that will make them want to hire you.
