what type of business can a para legal operate from home and is there much success in an at home business.?
I am working on a paralegal course and wanted to know what my chances were if i wanted to work for myself instead of working for someone and what type of work can i do ..any help would be appreciated.
You could do freelance work, for attorneys who may not have the staff to handle certain projects, but the chances of you getting work in this way, with no experience and (presumably) no contacts or reputation within the legal community is fairly small.
Some people try to offer services to the public. It’s a very difficult thing to do without crossing the line into unauthorized practice of law, which is a crime in many states. The legality of this, if it hasn’t already, will probably be discussed in one of your classes. The only advice I have on that is to hire a lawyer to advise you so that you don’t face criminal charges.
