Magazine Advertising: Need help?
Some questions for all you business men (and women). I just started a magazine ad. It is of superior quality. Full color, glossy on 60 # text (regular magazine paper is not as good rag paper magazine the most publicity are printed on). Features articles and games in it for the enjoyment of readers. We deliver to over 52 000 addresses and we have the same prices as everyone else around. However, all the magazine ads are full and I can not understand what wrong with ours. Our prices are as follows; $ 149 – Business card ad, $ 250 for 1/8th page, $ 375 for 1/4th and so on. I know for a fact that you can not get a small card, color cheaper than our announcement of $ 149 in our area. Please be honest and say why you would or would not advertise in my magazine. by the way our style of delivery is saturated which means that everyone (home and business) in five cities receive a magazine.
Advertising is a very difficult undertaking. Companies are tracked throughout the day to get people selling advertising in newspapers, magazines, consumer, direct mail, sports programs, high school, church bulletins, signs, bus stop benches, several radio stations, cable television, and many others. If you are new medium, or if you can not convince a potential advertiser clients read and use your support, you will not be successful. There is so much media out there that business owner can be very selective on how to spend its advertising dollars.
